Program Summary
This program, which is open to current medical students and other graduate students at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will begin with an in-person meeting from June 8-9 during which faculty presenters will introduce relevant research methods and survey some of the major contemporary controversies concerning the ethical use of AI tools in medical practice and research. Over the following six weeks, students will work 10 hours weekly on individual research projects, under the supervision of one or two research mentors. The program will conclude with a symposium at which all participating students will present the outcome of their research.
